IMPRESSIVE MOUNTAIN WORLDS

Sense freedom and a feeling of lightness with every step

No matter how much you pack in your rucksack: Hiking is about clearing your mind and relieving yourself of baggage. It is entirely up to you whether you want to climb a peak or hike along the Waalwege irrigation channels. Between the paths in the valley and the König Ortler mountain, no hiking wish remains unfulfilled in Val Venosta.

WAALWEGE PATHS IN THE VALLEY

The popular Val Venosta Waalwege irrigation channels are pleasantly flat and run slightly above the valley floor. These ancient irrigation channels once served to water the fields and meadows. You can find one of the longest of its kind: the 11 km long Senales Waalweg, which shows you the way to Juval Castle not too far from the AMARIL. The entrance to the Passo dello Stelvio Waalweg is also quick to reach.

ALPINE HIKES AND MOUNTAIN TOURS

Surrounded by two nature parks and three mountain groups, the Val Venosta Valley can be discovered on foot at every altitude: whether directly from the hotel or after a relaxing mountain tour to the peaks. There you can enjoy the leisurely circular hiking trails to the alpine pastures on the Sonnenberg or Nörderberg mountains or the panoramic Val Venosta High Mountain Trail. Ambitious mountaineers will also find what they are looking for: The mountain world around your holiday home has both challenging three-thousand-metre peaks and easier summit hikes on offer. The AMARIL is the perfect starting point for hiking excursions to the Martello Valley, the Senales Valley, the region around Merano, Solda and the Passo Resia.
