VINSCHGAU

HIKING

& MORE

No matter how much you pack in your rucksack: Hiking means shedding ballast. It's entirely up to you whether you climb a summit or prefer to hike along the Waalwege. Between the paths in the valley and King Ortler, no hiking wish remains unfulfilled in Val Venosta/Vinschgau.

Hike along the Waalways or climb a summit.

Waalways

The popular Vinschgau irrigation channels run pleasantly flat and slightly above the valley floor. These ancient irrigation channels were once used to water the fields and meadows.

Not far from the AMARIL, you will find one of the longest of its kind: the 11-kilometre-long Schnalser Waalweg, which leads you to Juval Castle. The start of the Latschander Waalweg is also within easy reach.

ALPINE HIKES

AND MOUNTAIN TOURS

Surrounded by two nature parks and three mountain groups, the Venosta Valley can be explored on foot at all altitudes: whether directly from the hotel or after a relaxing ascent to lofty heights. There you can enjoy the leisurely circular hiking trails to the alpine pastures on the Sonnenberg or Nörderberg or the panoramic Vinschgau High Trail.

Ambitious mountaineers will also get their money's worth: challenging three-thousand-metre peaks as well as more leisurely summit hikes await you around your vacation home. The AMARIL is the ideal starting point for tours to Val Martello, Val Senales, Merano, Solda or the Resia Pass.
